Waste Mgmt Records was founded in 2001 with positive intentions to change the music industry. It took several years for the Brooklyn based Waste Mgmt team to come together and perfect every aspect needed to run a successful record label. As well as set the stage for creative business based record labels. The unique aspect of WMR is the ability to encompass all genres of music. With the likes of alternative, country, hip-hop, punk and rock, WMR is well on it's' way to becoming one of the music industries top record labels. Besides having the creative advantage, WMR has a corporate advantage as well. From merchandising, marketing, audio and video production, to advertising, artist development, financial consulting, company and artist branding. In essence WMR is more than just a “record label”.
With a seasoned management team consisting of Veteran rappers, engineers, successful and equally diverse business staff of 40+ years combined experience, the positive support system of the Waste Mgmt vision remains cutting-edge.

The name “Waste Mgmt” was conceived to complete one task, throw out the old and give way to the new. With the support of artists who go against the grain and share the creative inspiration and artistic freedom with WMR . That combination is manifested through their music in a market that is over saturated with monotonous studio product.

The company in concept is very in tune with its name. The whole jest of WMR is to be able to clear away the trash and replace it with fresh new product. Using the core management team, who is connected from coast to coast, WMR signs, implements, and solidifies all concerning concepts brought forth from various avenues. WMR has a deep connection to all facets of the music and film industry that will keep growing thru the years to come. WMR can do nothing but keep getting stronger by the day because of its unity amongst its team.
